The Truth About Abs program promotes the idea of having lean 6-pack abs (Abdominal) muscles, and this will lead to a healthier lifestyle, but is it really that important?

First of all, Abs are muscles, which are the mid-section of the body. These muscles cover the stomach, liver, kidneys, and a host of other organs in that area. There are two kinds of fat that can be stored in the body. The first kind is called subcutaneous fat (which lies on top of the abdominal muscle) and visceral fat (which is under the abdominal muscle and more dangerous).

The most important thing to do, according to the book is to get rid of visceral fat, because it releases inflammatory molecules constantly. It also can make the body insulin dependent over time, one truth about abs of the first signs of diabetics. Reducing the subcutaneous fat is important as well, and once reduced, a person will be able to see the abs. The stomach will flatten as well over time.
