# An Ectomorph Guide to Muscle Building

An ectomorph is naturally skinny with tiny bone structure, a flat chest and stooped shoulders. Body types belonging here are usually tall and lack muscle and strength. This body type has a very fast metabolism which burns through food easily, which is why weight gain is a difficult task to accomplish.

Weight gain is of primary importance for this muscle group. So, foods high in calories should building muscle always be considered and ectomorphs should be eating as much and as often as they can since they lose weight so easily. And to make muscle building faster, it is necessary to take supplements.

It is recommended that this body type should not perform too much physical activity as the body utilizes calories fast will be counterproductive to building good quality muscle. Movement should be supplemented by calorie intake.

Workouts should be kept at a minimum. Of course, cardio exercises are good for cardiovascular health, but they should not be intense. The training workout should be kept relatively low to prevent further calorie loss.
